Editor-in-Chief of Composite and Phase Change Materials

Professor Aziz Babapoor is the Editor-in-Chief of the Composite and Phase Change Materials journal. He obtained his MSc. and BSc. in Chemical Engineering from the Sharif University of Technology. From 2006 to 2008, he worked as a researcher in the Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the Sharif University of Technology. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with great honors from Shiraz University in 2015.

Currently, Professor Babapoor serves as a full-time Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili. Throughout his career, he has collaborated extensively with oil and gas companies and held numerous significant positions, including Secretary of the Energy Management Research Centre, Head of the Mineral and Drinking Water Department at the Water and Mineral Water Engineering Research Institute, Factory Manager, Executive Secretary of Conferences, Planning Director, R&D Manager, and Production Manager. Additionally, he has provided consulting and quality control management for various factories and companies.

Professor Babapoor’s research interests encompass renewable and sustainable energies, phase change materials and their applications, drug delivery, nanotechnology, nanoenergy, and electrospinning. He has authored 25 books and published over 250 papers in international journals and conferences. He has been recognized as a top researcher at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili multiple times and achieved first rank in Ardabil province at the festival of top researchers in 2020. Furthermore, he was listed among the world’s top two-percent scientists in 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.
